Adorable Puppy With ‘Tail’ Growing From His Face Found Alone In The Cold💔

Mac’s Mission, a rescue in Jackson, Missouri, found a puppy, along with another older dog, wandering alone outside in the cold.

But this isn’t just any ordinary puppy; he has what appears to be a “tail” coming out of his forehead. While the tail does not wag like a normal tail, it is definitely something rescuers have never seen before.
Since it reminds them of a unicorn’s horn, they decided to name him Narwhal, “the little magical furry unicorn.”

Narwhal has a foot injury of some sort and will require treatment. The rescue is taking him to the vet tomorrow for x-rays, as well as to get his face tail looked at.

According to the rescue, Narwhal is a very happy, friendly puppy and is doing great. Thanks to rescuers, Narwhal won’t have to suffer in the freezing cold.

Mac’s Mission is a rescue in Jackson, Missouri, that helps homeless dogs and other animals with urgent special needs or injuries that would be euthanized otherwise.

While they specialize in Pit Bulls, they take in any breed. They aid all breeds of special needs, as well as the homeless animals who have zero chance or survival, due to shelters and other rescues not having the resources to help them.

Click here to follow updates on Narwhal on the rescue’s Facebook page.

Eight Men Sacrificed Their Bachelor Party To Save Sick Puppies They Found In Woods.

Eight men in Tennessee had gathered together in a cabin in the woods to celebrate the bachelor party of groom-to-be Mitchel Craddock. As the friends got busy grilling the meat, they were startled by an unexpected furry visitor at their door!

The men were puzzled to see a scared and sickly dog waiting at their doorstep with the most helpless eyes. They felt sorry for the dog and gave her some food. However, the dog still seemed anxious as she kept nudging the men for further help.

One of the men figured out that the poor dog had just given birth, but all her milk had dried up due to malnourishment. Mitchel and his friends named the dog Annie and decided to follow her into the dense woods. Sure enough, Annie led them to a dangerous hole where 7 tiny, scared puppies were burrowed in deep with no escape!

The generous men immediately scrapped their bachelor party plans and decided to use their beer fund to rescue the puppies. They scooped the fleas-ridden puppies out and got them the necessary medical aid. They used up the rest of their party cash on dog food!

As there were 8 men and 8 dogs, Annie and her puppies got adopted by one of the buddies each. The friends live within 5 miles of one another, so they often hang out together while the happy pooch family enjoys their reunions! This is easily one of the best bachelor party stories we’ve ever heard!

Man Stabs His Dog Over & Over, Leaves Her To Die In Puddle Of Her Own Blood

A Wisconsin man has been charged with mistreatment of animals-use of a dangerous weapon after he stabbed his dog and left her for dead in Eau Claire County.
A man discovered the injured dog lying in a puddle of blood while he was out walking his own dogs. He rushed the dog to a vet clinic in Menomonie, where she underwent emergency surgery but wound up passing away.

The vet said the dog had “recent penetrating wounds caused by a sharp object such as a knife.”
Luckily, the man who found the dog spotted the suspect walking on the trail nearby. He posted to social media and eventually helped police catch the suspect, who turned out to be 40-year-old Joshua Goss.
Goss told police that he brought the dog to the area to abandon her and “shooed” her away, but denied stabbing her.

10 Questions and answers about dogs that you've always wanted to know - Part one.

Have you ever wondered why your dog bark at night? Or why they lick up your face? Here are 10 questions and answers about dogs that you've always wanted to know!

1. WHY IS MY DOG’S NOSE ALWAYS WET?

A common misconception is that your dog’s wet nose is a sign of good health. In reality, the moisture on Fido’s nose is no indication of their overall well-being. The reason for a dog’s wet nose is a little murkier. One explanation is that dogs repeatedly lick their nose throughout the day to keep it clean. Another is that the moisture helps them cool off. Dogs don’t sweat the way humans do, so they pant and let off extra heat through their noses. A special gland in the nose produces a clear fluid that helps them cool down faster.

2. WHY DOES MY DOG LICK ME?

Dogs will often lick their owner and other people as a sign of love and affection. When your dog licks you, they probably want something, like your attention, food or they want you to play with them.

3. WHY DOES MY DOG EAT POOP?

While poop-eating may seem gross to us, to dogs, it comes from total instinct. When a mama dog has a litter of puppies in the wild, she cleans up after their little poops the only way she can, by eating them. Not only does this keep her den clean; it also protects her puppies from nearby predators, who could be drawn in by the smell. Puppies often learn this behavior from mom, as it coincides well with their natural curiosity and desire to smell and taste EVERYTHING. While most pups grow out of this habit, some dogs eat poop as adults out of boredom, a lack of proper nutrition, or a lack of training against the behavior.

4. WHY DO DOGS EAT GRASS?

Sometimes dogs will eat grass because they have an upset stomach, and sometimes they may just be craving essential nutrients that they’re not be getting in their regular diet. Generally speaking, most experts see no danger in letting your dog eat grass in small amounts (assuming there is no pesticides and chemicals in the grass). If your dog has a sudden increase in grass eating, there could be an underlying issue, that requires veterinary assistance.

5. WHY DO DOGS BURY THEIR BONES, FOOD OR OTHER ITEMS?

Wild dogs used to bury their food to hide it and save for later so that other animals couldn’t get to it, but now that domesticated dogs have plenty of food, there are a few reasons why they’re still burying things. One reason could be instinct – Just because they’re domestic animals doesn’t mean that they lose the urge. The second reason could be that their owner is giving them too much food/toys and the dog wants to save it for later. Another reason could be that it is a game to them. If your dog wants your attention or is bored, they may steal valuable items from you (such as shoes or TV remotes) in order to get you to play with them.

6. DO DOGS DREAM?

Yes! They do, I believe you may notice your dog twitching or emitting light barks in his sleep. And just like we humans, dogs dream and go through REM sleep, (which is the cycle in which humans experience dreams). Study found that puppies and older dogs usually dream more often than middle-aged dogs!

7. WHAT VACCINATIONS SHOULD MY DOG HAVE?

Just like vaccinations for humans, immunization shots for dogs fall into two categories: necessary and optional. While laws vary by state, dogs are usually required to have an annual rabies vaccine, to prevent the spread of this dangerous disease. The ASPCA includes the rabies vaccine as a part of the core vaccines: those recommended by most vets for ALL dogs.

The other core vaccines are:
  • Canine Parvovirus
  • Distemper Virus
  • Adenovirus-2
Non-Core, or optional vaccines, include Bordetella, Lyme disease, Leptospirosis, and canine influenza, among others. While these are optional legally, and may not be recommended for all dogs, most canine boarding facilities and dog parks require all visiting pups to receive Bordetella vaccines in addition to core vaccines at least once per year (some need Bordetella once every six months). Before bringing your dog to a daycare or dog park, be sure to go over the vaccination requirements, and talk to your vet about the best way to keep your dog safe from disease.

8. WHY IS CHOCOLATE BAD FOR MY DOG?

Though chocolate is a tasty treat for humans, for dogs it is
poisonous. Chocolate's toxic component is theobromine.
Dogs process theobromine very slowly, which allows for it to
build up in their system to toxic levels. Different types of
chocolate have different amounts of theobromine, but
chocolate should always be out of reach of dogs.

9. HOW OFTEN SHOULD I BATH MY DOG?

I recommend you bathe a dog with normal skin once a month with dog shampoo or human baby shampoo. If you want to bathe more often than once a month, use a soap-free or moisturizing shampoo to prevent the skin from becoming dry. Do not bathe your dog more than once a week, unless recommended by your vet.

10. WHY DO DOGS SNIFF EACH OTHER'S REARS?

Dogs sniff rear ends as their way of asking, “Who are you and how have you been?” Canines can find out a whole slew of information from just a whiff. The secretions released by glands in the rump tell other animals things like the dog’s gender, diet, and mood. It’s sort of like talking with chemicals.

1. CHAMOMILE:

One of the most effective natural remedies to kill ticks on dogs is undoubtedly chamomile. Its a remedy which can also be used on puppies. However, it is important to remember when using any new plant or repellent on a dog’s skin, you first need to make sure that it is not toxic.

To make use of this tick removal home remedy, follow these steps:

  •  Prepare an infusion of natural chamomile, don't make it too hot to avoid burning.
  •  Dip a clean cloth in the chamomile and squeeze well.
  • Rub your dog's skin gently, with emphasis on the affected area.
Chamomile is a natural tick repellent and, therefore, the ticks will naturally flee your dogs skin.

2. APPLE CIDER VINEGAR

This is another effective natural remedy that can help fight against ticks in your dog's body.

What you will need:
  • 200 milliliters of apple cider vinegar.
  • Half a teaspoon of sea salt.
  • Half a teaspoon of baking soda.
  • Two to three spoons of warm water.
  • Spray bottle or any available container.

INSTRUCTIONS:
First, mix the vinegar, salt, and baking soda together and put them in a spray bottle or any container of your choice, add the warm water and shake the bottle. Spray the mixture on your pets' fur, back of their ears, legs, and neck. Please try not to spray it directly into the ears but instead spray it on a clean clothe then use just a finger with the clothe to clean. You can also comb through their fur to get rid of the bugs that the spray didn't take care of. Brushing your dog regularly is also good for preventing fleas and ticks.

3. NEEM OIL

Neem Oil is used as a natural remedy to repel and remove ticks in dogs too.

To use, apply neem oil on your palm and rub on infected area. It can also be used with or without any other oil. It can be mixed with almond or other light carrier oil. To remove a tick, apply a drop or two of neem oil directly on the tick and it will extract itself quickly.

4. CITRIC ACID

Ticks hate citrus which is why they are a great preventative method when getting rid of ticks on dogs. Among all of the citrus fruits, the one that is more effective in these parasites is lemon, tho you can use orange, grapefruit or lime they are cool too. You will have to make a homemade tick repellent, so you will need to get a sprayer.

INSTRUCTIONS:
  • Boil two cups of water, allow it to boil well, add two lemons (cut into two parts).
  • Lower the heat and let the mixture simmer for one hour, allowing it to infuse and enhance repellent effect.
  • After about an hour, remove from heat and allow the mixture to cool.
  • Remove the lemons and add the liquid into the sprayer bottle. When applying it, please avoid eyes anddirect into ears.
  • Try and make sure your dog doesn’t lick itself. Citrus can cause gastrointestinal problems in dogs.
  • In addition, this home remedy for ticks on dogs is a great disinfectant that will help prevent ticks on dogs in the future.
5. VASELINE

Vaseline is not only good for human skin, it has proven to be effective in removing ticks from the bodies of dogs too.
